Visual Arts Graduates from the University of Toronto at Mississauga and Sheridan College.
The Blackwood Gallery presents three consecutive, 2-week exhibitions of the Visual Arts Graduates from the University of Toronto at Mississauga and Sheridan College.
This year marks
the 28th anniversary of the Art and Art History Program's Annual Graduating
Exhibitions. In 1971, Sheridan College joined with the University of
Toronto's Erindale College to establish what became Canada's first collaborative
fine art program between a college and a university. On exhibition will
be artwork realized in a broad range of media including photography,
painting, printmaking, design, new technologies, sculpture, and drawing.
The students' works typically probe issues around identity, sexuality,
cultural background, art history, popular culture, and social and political
subjects with humour, seriousness, and often, great acuity.
